Belgium Adopts Stricter Measures for Online Gambling

This is a terse announcement from the Belgian Gaming Commission – Internet censorship will be enforced by January 2012. Bucking widespread opposition and criticisms from various stakeholders, Belgium has confirmed that it will push through with its earlier plan to tighten up its control and enforcement of rules and regulations on online gambling. Belgium has drawn some flak for its inequitable and draconian regulatory regime for the online gambling industry.
